Studio 1 Theaters & motion work

All the work done in this section was for Studio 1 Theaters in Portland OR. With up coming movies or events, I was tasked with making unique sets either as digital poster that use fx and fade one to another, or Stage set in the size of 7680 X 1200. Some were for movies like Doctor Strange 2, or Bobs Burgers posters, others for Wine events and other gatherings. Some work is quite simple other more detailed, but I enjoy taking an image that was meant to be stagnate and breathing some fun life into it. Everything has custom animations, and particles somewhere in them to breath motion and life into otherwise stationary 2D images.

Doctor Strange 2 Studio 1 PDX Theater window. 30 sec repeat, multi layer for promotions of the film. looks great 12 feet tall.

This is for Studio 1's Paris theater, it too is for Doctor Strange 2 . Portal over new York with a simple jumbo jet flying below. All of these windows I built to make a continuity between each theater. Also looks great 12 feet tall.

This was for the NewYork Theater in Studio 1, the largest of the 7 theaters we have. I wanted a secret courtyard, and added falling blossoms from the tree, I wanted it inviting, and serine. I use particles and animations for each window.

This is one of two Downton Abbey 2 Windows, with simple flag and clouds, idea being when you look through the window you see this.

2 of 2 of Downton Abbey 2 windows, again simple motion in the clouds, and some branches. When viewed on a 12 ft screen it looks really pretty.

This was part of the latest Fantastic beasts windows. This was for the New York theater at Studio 1. I wanted it to look like the embers were moving towards you.

Another of the latest fantastic beasts window. just light animations to make this image animated. Was used in the Istanbul theater at Studio 1.

Newt from Fantastic beasts, used in the Rio theater at Studio 1.

Another Fantastic beasts window for the PDX theater at Studio 1. I didn't know what really to animate here, So I did some of his hair. very simple, but fun.

This was the stage set for TopGun Maverick. it's 1200x7680, the sides that are in black are not seen by the viewers, they are dead zones for the projectors, so all the viewer ever sees is the main image. There is a blend zone, so usually it's doubled.

This was also for TopGun 2, it was a 10ft tall window in our Portland Theater at Studio 1. Simple motion graphic, looks great at that size.

This was for the Paris Theater at Studio 1 for our TopGun 2 sets. With the short time frame I couldn't make the shadows more realistic, next time.

This is for one of our Studio 1 theaters digital poster displays. I wanted to make the poster come to life, and make the viewer keep finding little elements here and there.

Another Digital poster I built for Studio 1 theaters for the new Avatar movie coming out. Simple yet looks great running.

This is 1 of 4 Jurassic Park Dominion windows in the Studio 1 penthouse windows, each one focuses on a different element than the other. Hardest part is breaking down the dinosaurs into parts that can be more easily animated.

This Jurassic Park video for Studio 1 Theaters, focused on the flying dinosaurs. from the penthouse digital windows at 12 feet tall the video is quite fun to view.

This was designed for the Stage set at Studio 1. It later was fit to size of 7680X1200. At that size it makes the stage look like an aquarium which is what I was shooting for.

This was projected on to 8x8 foot canvases for the NY, AND Paris penthouses at Studio 1 Theaters, simple but work well with the promotion of the film.

This was for the Portland Screen @ Studio 1 Theaters. a Scene from LIghtYear, It's just a simple adding of rain particles, and clouds, etc.

Another scene from Lightyear, this one for the Paris theater at Studio 1. Lights, crane, clouds, and part of the characters were animated to give the window some motion.

From the Rise of Gru movie for studio 1, I just wanted a simple animation were the characters attention would track, made the window look very cool.

This another Rise of Gru window for studio 1 theaters, more difficult, is fun to see on the super large windows, wish I could have color corrected the mono-eyed minion.

For Thor Love & Thunder, we needed to fill three windows and the stage, my first choice was Olympus, with just simple motions here and there.

Saakar form Thor Love & Thunder, this was my second window, very simple but believable.

For my third window I used New Asgard, Cloud, and ship motion was really all I did for this simple window.

My final motion graphic was of Lady Thor , this was for the Studio 1 Stage. What you see here is about have the size. Cloned some areas I built on to, animated LT, and added a varying lightning.
